I'm thinking about doing one of these two. Which one do you think will give me the most increase in speed? By how much?

supercharger will give you more power

I've heard of guys with SCs doing quarter mile in the 13's (ICYDK, a stock gen4 does this in about 15.5 sec.). I believe the SC adds like 80HP (not sure??). Price is like $3500 plus install.

NOS is MUCH cheaper, but isn't always on like the SC, and you can only safely add like 50 HP. Price for 50HP is around $500-$700.

None of these numbers are definite, just pieced together factoids that I've gathered on this board at one time or another.

There are many advantages and disadvantages of each. We had a big discussion about this a couple months back. It turned out into a HUGE conflict.

Anyways, i personally use NOS. I only went that way b/c i could afford the S/C. Plus NOS can give you same gains as S/C if not more. Either way, if you want more power, you will need new fuel pump for both applications.

This is what i have notice and has been puzzling me. BTW, not many stock 4th gen autos run 15.5. I have seen them go anywhere from 16.5-15.8 stock...that is autos i mean.

Anyways, the S/Ced autos run consisten 14.7's (W/Exhaust). I have yet to seen much faster not including Steve (in Chicago).

The NOSed autos with a 40 or 50 shot can run low 14's to 14 flat (W/ CAI and Exhaust). How? Got me but it does happen.

In no way am i starting an argument but this is what i have noticed.
