Ok, I connected all of one side of the led's to the ground end and all of the other side to the positive end. Now when I connect it, there's no power UNLESS one of the led's w/ resistor touches the copper that is on top of the dome light housing. I hope this picture can clarify a few things.

You can see where I soldered the negative and positive. Is this correct?



and this LED is what touches the copper that's connected to the car in order for it to work. not that one specifically but anyone of them. i'm confused.
