does anyone have a escorr solo s2 wireless radar?

Its decent but the 8500 X50 is way better, and usually cheaper. unless you need cordless despertly dont get it.

8500 X50 only has 1 competitor, the valentine one, and i think the 8500 is better

i really like the solo s2 bcuz i have a flip out tv and thw cord on my current radar gets in the way of the tv

valentine one has always, and still is the best radar detector. But keep in mind no radar is fool-proof because radars only go off when the pig pulls the trigger on his radar gun. A lot of times they wont pull the trigger until they see a car speeding in sight. The best effective way to not get caught ripping down the highway is always a CB

 

V1 is great but its not the best, it has inferior technology in a few areas and you'll see way more false alerts than u would with the 8500 X50

I've got the s2 and have no complaints. No tickets since purchase. Easy to put up and take down. I only use it on longer trips (out of town, etc...) but love having it for them.

 

How does the V1 have inferior technology?

It doesn't have useless bells and whistles, and it lets you know when it detects something. I would rather it tell me there is something and then let me ignore it than it think it is nothing and then I get pulled over. Cops don't use X around here so I have turned it off on my V1 unless I am on road trips.
