yeah this dude thinks my maxima is a ****in family car, so im about to show him. he has a 89 civic with a 95 vtec he says. And im sure he has an intake and exhaust and all that crap. Im stock right now, but soon Im going to install a Y-Pipe, and CAI. Do you think i should race before or after mods, or can i beat him before or after the mods ? Thanks.

It's an 89 Civic with a '95 Civic VTEC engine? Is this the one that makes 127hp or 160hp?

Depends on what motor he's got.. If he's got a B16(that'd one right)... you probably won't win, although it'd be close. If it's got a D series VTEC, you will beat him.

find out if its DOHC VTEC or SOHC VTEC.... 160 vs 125 hp. the 89 civic is a very light car. my friend ran 15.1 with a single cam VTEC in his 92 civic CX, just intake, header and exhaust. are you auto or manual? race him for fun, what do you have to lose besides your pride?
