14-inch wheels

Simple question. Will 14-inch wheels clear the calipers on my 1995 max? It's for drag racing (front only).

Thanks.

Just by looking at the clearance I have with my 15's I don't think so. And good luck finding a 14" wheel in a 5 bolt pattern

Didn't that guy who was REALLY into auto-x and road racing have those dark 14" rims? He was sponsored by Tire Rack, and had the pebble beige max that read "XI" on the rear by taking out the rest of the Maxima letters. I believe his name was Spaniard or something like that.

Think he runs 15's, and don't think he is sponsored by TireRack. Just uses the sticker

Spaniard road races. He's on 15" Rota Slipstreams.

Millenia wheels would be the lightest ... & cheapest.

If you mean lightest for the money, or cheapest for the weight, then yes.

There are MUCH lighter wheels available though.

I stand corrected...I could have sworn that I read somewhere that he was sponsored by them (I didn't just look at the sticker and assume...). Ahh well, I guess 14's would be pushing it.

The problem with millenias is that my slicks will be 24.5X8.5. 8.5-inch wide slicks on 6'' wheels is pushing it. If I can't go with 14's I guess I'll go with Kosei K1's (7'' wide).

Get some Weld 15x8s from Summit and call it a day. $150 a piece.

9lbs is about the lightest you will find in 15x7, but you are going to pay a premium as you know for Comps, TE37s, CE28Ns, CP-035Rs, RP-F1s etc.

Volk TE37 Mag.

Just checked my facts, and I retract my previous statement. There aren't really that many in that size that are lighter, besides forged ones that are really expensive.

Self-owned. No wonder NmexMAX got irritated.
