$3k, on the org here maybe $4, $5k if your lucky. You best bet would be to try to sell it to another enthusiats cause at a dealer or anything like that, you whole list (except for brakes and rotors and such) is just depreaciating the price of the car.

Why do you want to sell?

Parting it out and putting stock parts back on could help push the price up.

I might go with a 4 cly because of gas prices. I am not sure yet. I would never trade it in because I know you never get what you want.

If u really think about it, a properly running 4th gen wont use up much more fuel than a 4 cylinder(cept hybrid), so if i were you, I wouldn't downgrade just to save a couple bucks a month.

Sell your altezzas and gauges and come out even on gas as compared to a 4 cyl, you can make up for premium and the small amount that the 4 cyl will save you. ..

you could sell it for $2.5K on here, I'm sure someone would pick it up. Post in the for sale section and see how many replies you get.

All that work and money you recently put into it. Doesn't it make sense to drive it for a few more yrs?

STFU and start your own thread ...

anyway .... sell it for what you want. Majority of us on here aren't dumb **** ricers, (well ....err....ehh.....nevermind) and wouldn't pay more than 3.5k for it. .. whereas you coud find a younger kid, sell it for 5k, and call it a day.

Sell all the mods and put the car back to stock, if you sell it with mods you will not get any more money that without.

This way you will get a decent amount for your car and people are always looking for a deal on mods that you can sell on here or on ebay.

What's there to be undecided about... You spent a lot on this car.. Why go to a 4cyl for a few $$'s a month? As I said sell a few things you don't reaqlly need, I.E Altezzas and Gauges, and it will make up for the $$ you saved ... Have you paid off this car, I'm guessing so.. So .. why get into another bill for less of a car? If it's running good, keep it, it's a no brainer. The $$ saved on gas is minimal when comparing the loss you would take if you sold it as is for 3.5k ...

Nmex speaks the truth. Are you going to get car as reliable as your Maxima? The first repair you have to do may make the fuel economy a moot point. Keep the Max, sell the bolt-ons and shift a 2.5-3k RPM for good mpg.

To tell you the truth, it really makes no sense in selling your car. You're going to get low dollars for it. Plus if you don't have a car payment now, why put yourself in more debt to have something else?

How many miles do you drive per year now? What kind of driving - % city, % highway?

How much do you anticipate you will save per year on gas with a 4 cylinder car?

How much do you plan on spending on said 4 cylinder car?

If you sat down and did the math and sold a few bolt ons, you would probably stick with the Maxima for another 50K at least.

umm....if you don't know what to do..then just keep the car. seems to me that you'll only hook up the 4 cyl car because its not quite as fast as the 6cyl. Everyone knows to turn their car back to stock first since a lot of people will NOT buy a car already hooked up....

Sell the mods and swap for stock parts. Very few people want to buy a car that has been modded. Plus you will get a lot more money back on your mods if you sell them separately. Seriously. Most mods add zero value. Some mods make the car worth even less money (to the average buyer).

As for my advice (ignore it if you choose): Figure out why you want to sell your car and if it makes sense. Obviously the max is a reliable car. It's obviously cheap, since you already own it. And it's got reasonable power for some fun driving. It would be very tough to find a car for the same price (about $3500 realistically) that fits all of those criteria.

However, if there is another car you are just desperate to own and can afford it, fine, sell your car. But for all practical purposes their is no reason not to keep it for a few more years. Buying another car will only cost more money and more unknown headaches if that car is used.

I've gone through the same "mid-car crisis". Almost bought myself a 300ZX (realized that I needed 4 real seats though...). But in the end, it just made so much more sense to keep the maxima.

Good luck.
