How Much Do You Spend On Yearly Maintance

Excluding oil changes and tires, how much do you spend on your Maxima?

Last year I only changed the coolant, transmission fluid and brake fluid. Other than that I haven't spent anything this year.

I am buying a radiator cap though which is about 22 bux.

900 bucks for axles? Did you do that yourself or pay a shop? Axles should not be anywhere near that expensive.

540 is way too high if you did the work yourself - right in line with dealer prices (including parts). If you did the work yourself, where did you get the parts? Rear calipers can be bought for 70 bucks a side from www.partsamerica.com, plus another 150 for 2 rotors and 50 bucks for a set of pads... thats still only $340 for everything....

900 for axles? even if a shop did it you paid double what the average shop would charge. I hope they are top of the line racing axles you couldve saved about 700 bucks and did it yourself.

for me
air filter: $5
trans oil: $40
fuel filter: $12
throttle body cleaning: $3
spark plugs: $60

I bought my Max last October with 82,600 km (51,300 miles) and I'm guessing I've spent around $2700 so far this year (holy crap, now I realize what happened to my salary!!!) plus I still need to add a new muffler to that price soon. I've bought 2 pairs of tires (winter/summer), had the auto tranny flushed, oil changes, replaced front brake pads & rotors, replaced an oxygen sensor, rust proofing...man...I didn't know I've spent so much!!! Thats like a quarter of my annual salary...looks like the car won't be paid off for a loooong time...

Basic maintiance Air filters, Oil, fuel filter, so far aroun $200

But in the next couple of month the massive tune up with occur one weekend (or two)

New Clutch (5th gen)
New Tranny (5th Gen)
New Driver side axle
New LCA (Ball Joint) Driver side
Drive Belts
Timing Chain Tensioner

Then in addition
Suspesion
Ypipe

Will be a pretty penny and should feel the max more new than when I bought her.

Last yr, I dropped it off at a shop and told them to do everything. Cost me about 1500. New belts, radiator and tranny flush, tune up, brakes, rotors, alignment, bunch of sensors, and a bunch of other shat. I don't remember. But since then, I've done just a few oil changes and a recent spark plug replacement to keep the car in good working order. The car has been pretty cheap to maintain and very reliable. I have 80k miles on it right now. The way it's going, I should have many more miles to come.

Right now i haven't spend anything on the maxi. Even tho i only had it for like a month. Planning on doing a couple things here and there. But not too sure on what excatly, with 63xxx i doubt anything is required. Just plan on doing a drain and refill on the tranny when its time to get my oil changed

Very little. I have done all work to my car myself except two things, 00VI and 5spd swap. So really, my only cost is parts which are relatively cheap online.

Just noticed today that something is hanging off the bottom of my car and dragging on the ground (exhaust maybe?). The car is sitting at the mechanics for tomorrow so I guess my $2700 will grow...hopefully not too much!

Got my Maxima with 190000km in December.

Rust Proofing $130CDN w/ tax
4 New Bridgestone G009 mounted,balanced, etc $890CDN w/ tax
New radiator installed $419CDN w/tax
Oil change with TB cleaning $80CDN w/ tax (I'm lazy ok)
New K&N Filter $80CDN w/ tax

Well the tires that they had on were crappy as hell. Some "USED" snow tires. Didn't realized the radiator leaked up top. But these aren't really routine.
