i had tinted tails ( the red parts ) but as time went by, they started to fade.
i have to say, it did look awesome at first. but unfortunately, went back to reg

i just tinted the top half of mine on my black 96 and they turned out great. and i tottaly blacked them out, not just a light tint. the great thing is with nightshades even after 4 or 5 coats you can still see the signals easily, so safety still isn't an issue. but since you have a white car i would reccomend getting the red/clears. i think clears look better on light shaded cars, and tints look better on dark.

anyone with all black tails?
i've seen this one maxima in SF that goes on 19th past SFSU a couple of times with all black tails. black max as well i think.

I did the DTM Mod and blacked out the bottom half of my lights. I just had to stick in amber bulbs for the turn signals. They aren't really bright during the day if the sun is shining on them. Otherwise they reflect off the black housing and are pretty visible.

has anyone considered tinting the inside of the lens? that way the lens would retain the stock "luster" and shine. i hate when tinted tails look dull....

Mine are very lightly tinted, just 2 coats. Looks a little darker up close.

my friend has 95 dark blue se with tinted tail light and 5% tint looks very cool and hi is never been poold over for the tail lights they are looks the best on black cars with dark tint

Alan, you have seen my car many times when the tails were tinted, what do you need to see more pics for? but just to help ya out I will post a pic you have seen hundres of times.

WELL im doing mine right now, i was anxious to see how they'd look before i finished them so i posted, no one acccually has a white maxima with fully tinted taillights, like all black...first time for everything
