5 speed

OK, I looked in the the FAqs and such and could not find it. How much gear lube does the 95 5speed hold? It is kinda bug, so 8 would not surprise me, but I want to make sure before I get it.

4.5 quarts. its sticked in the fluids section. GL-4 Only.

bleh you can use gl-5 to avoid some grinding My next flush will be royal purple gl-5

No you cannot! GL-4 Only read the service manual. You will need a new tranmission very fast if you use GL-5 in our trannies. Read the Fluid section or better yet make a post and see.

Yea, my firend (the one who gave me the car) told me to get the red line gl-4. I checked around and NO BODY has gl-4 in the area. Even the Nissan dealership only has gl-5. Luckily it will only cost me about 40 to get the gear lube. Now all I have to do is replace the clutch, which should happen tommorow.
