4th gen 5sp; 7.32 0-60?

I always thought it was 6.6 seconds 0-60, however MSN has our car at 7.38. Is this a number to trust? Are there any credible sources which claim the 4th gen 5 speeds can do 6.6?

http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/Sp...IP&tab=2&sub=0

Thanks,
Dan

5spd: 6.6
Auto: 7.4

Check the 1/4 mile forum and you'll see the real world times.

*edit: Damn, the ET was 15.81...what was the driver doing, short shifting and eating a burger while running?

But remember these times are usually if you do crazy burnouts. Things that you really shouldn't be doing with your car. Stick with street start data unless you plan to rev a 5spd until like 4000RPM then letting go the cluth. As for auto, they do some crazy **** to load up the torque converter and using the handbrake. No good for the car.

I found it interesting the 5mph street start and the 0-60 for my max is only a few tenths of a second apart...something like 6.2 vs. 6

Wow, that really sucks. I did 15.00 in the 1/4 mile, and you don't have to launch at 4000 rpm for that.

No, I did 13.68@104 mph with the VQ35. Street tires. 15.00@91 was bone stock, and many have done high 14s stock. If I only did 15.00 with a vq35 I would be embarassed.

Well most of us don't have the luxury of buying a real timer and going to the drag strip. Frankly I don't even know where the closest one is to my place.

All I'm saying is that a 7+ second 0-60 in a 5-speed is poor, and 15.8 is really sh*tty, unless you're cutting 2.70 60 foots.

lol, then dont bother timing your 0-60 at all. Using a stopwatch to time your 0-60 is absurd. Who cares about 0-60 anyways? Im more interested in the 1/4 mile time. Normally, people dont race up to only 60

6.6 0-60 is the 95/96's. then they got heavy and got slightly slower.
