I've got a 1998 Maxima SE. I ordered the FSTB from Courtesy. The problem? The strut towers on my Maxima have big cone nuts, instead of regular nuts. The one nearest the brace interferes with the brace, so it won't fit.

I figured no problem, it's a 14mm nut. Bought some 14mm nuts to use instead of the stock cone nuts. They don't fit - they're WAY too big.

I don't have a parts book. Any idea what size these might be?

You don't need a parts book. Just remove one of those big acorn nuts and measure the threaded stud. IIRC they are M10x1.25.

I ended-up replacing the end plate bolts. The hex head bolt heads are too thick. I used regular bolts. Their heads are a lot flatter. Then the strut stud nut barely fit. I tried attaching my picture. But, was told dimensions were too big. I'll try later.

You need to buy only two hex nuts and use them on the threaded studs nearest the "ears" on the FSTB plates. The acorn nuts work fine on the other studs.
