hmm this kinda goes with the topic.... the previous owner of my car installed a fake wood grain kit on my ride... I wanna remove it to install a carbon fiber one... anyone know how hard it is to remove the current wood grain kit or what kind of tools to use? Seems to be glued down pretty damn well lol.

Thanks for the tip...hopefully all goes well.

One other question...is that when I do remove the pieces..i'm sure some will leave that really sticky glue thing stuck on the actual car...what do you guys use to remove that glue?

scrape it off with a razor blade or the paint scraper works too, whichever

aren't they previously applied with a adhesive backing? Than it's probably just the same as removing your badges from the trunk. Heat it up real good and pull that shiet off real good. Use goo-gone to remove the residue.

sorry, but not really interested in buying at all. not without adhesive/possible bending and breaking, ya know. but good luck with the removal. i too would like to know if they can be removed without leaving a mark.

if you take pics of the aluminum dash kit after you remove it and it looks to be in good shape, I may buy it ... where did you originally get it from?....keep me posted

You guys are making seem like it is no big deal to take off an after market kit. It is a HUGE p.i.t.a.!!! And for those of you who think that you can actual salvage the kit - think again. It will get demolished when taking it off.

Use a blow dryer, heat up one section at a time and go extremely slow.

thats true. you can probably take it off but it wouldnt be worth selling unless your a pro. the kit will probably be damaged. if your replacing it with another kit you should be good cause you dont need to remove the old adhesive.
