Group Deal ECU
Hey guys I've been comparing some of the prices on mods available in the states, to prices we have available here in Australia, one in particular that seems to be some what cheaper is the ECU upgrade here from down under which is priced at $365 USD, would anyone be interested and would it be worth the hassle to get from here at that price,
if there are people interested maybe i could try hook up a group deal, this company has a good reputation here in Australia and I've had many friends install them in there cars here but none of which are maxima's, they've generally been locally based cars with the buick v6 3.8, other than my own maxima i haven't seen a modded one here yet.
The specs are available from the companys web page
www.powerchip.com.au
If anyone wants any specific info, etc, email them or reply to this post and i can call them since they're in my state, and I'll post it back in here.

I'd be interested. Went to the web page and the 'gold' chips definitely look interesting. I assume that the numbers given are at the crank and not at the wheel? so figure in about a 20-30% loss... you still get a 18-20 horsepower gain at the wheels and 14-15 lbs of gain in the torque at the wheels (through calculation and conversion).
However, I was wondering how they use the same chip for the 1995-1998 Maxima as it seems from people here that the computers and tuning is different in those cars.
Also, what would they need? Would we need to ship our ECU over to AUS and then wait while they do the mod and ship it back?
BTW, have you done the ECU mod yet? If so, can you comment on the performance? Thanks!
