Motor Mounts help

Hey guys,

Does anybody have a better (more complete with pics?) write - up on how to change the motor mounts on 96 max?

I just got the polyurethane mounts done and need to install them and the write up in our >How to< section seems lacking... pics, and details...

Thanks a lot.

www.motorvate.ca might have something useful. Do you have a Haynes Manual? I can help talk you through it as well. (I just did mine a few weeks ago)

It's done.

I pretty much followed the instructions as writen, untill I started putting the mounts on to the cross member.

At that point, I installed the back mount first (rear part of the x-member), and then the front side of the x-member. Jerked up the tranny for another notch and screwed in the front mount. Piece of cake hehehe.

Car feels a lot more solid now, just as it did wneh it was much newer...

There's a bit more vibration inside and I get a '... deeper sound...' from the stock exhaust for some reason.

Overall, very satisfied with the mod.

yeah, but the guy encountered some problems and i wasn't sure, upon reading it, that I'd be able to pull it off.

But it was pretty straight forward job.
