You're becoming a very annoying n00b 2damax, everything you say is more worthless than the garbage you said before. Hector and I were there to paint the lights, Hector did most of the work but I was there cause we were on our way to Wisconsin. Does that answer your question?

Yeah, my testor painted taillights look like crap now. I even clearcoated the bishes and it still faded.

Looks good! From the picture it looks like they came that way from the factory. I saw a Platinum Iris Maxima in town here and I thought it was a nice color.

Well, there goes my hope of redding my tail lights...

Is there any other brand/kind of paint that will do the trick but not fade as badly?

Hahahah, maybe if you did yours right, you wouldn't have said that. My current tails survived a Chicago winter, the taillights on my old car survived more.
I guess I'm an exception though, or maybe it was the NITESHADES.

Try some Krylon Fusion Plastic paint, then coat it again after its dry then throw a clear coat on it after. Thats how I used to do computer cases. But then again they are in completely different operating environments.

ive seen niteshades peeling off cars. you must be a tail light painting genius.

even if you paint the inside of the lens, testors will still fade over time.

or maybe i just cant paint? cuz you are always right.

testors on its own will fade and start cracking/pealing within weeks. the reason daves (and mine) were protected was because of niteshades. the sides edges of niteshades might start pealing a little bit, but other than that, it is pretty much weather proof.

I ordered it online, local places didnt know what I was talking about either. Type testors paint into google and some sites that have it will come up. I think I ordered my stuff from a place called a2zhobbies or something like that.

IMO the most beneficial thing you guys did was eat pizza. It looks just as bad as stock orange. The quality of the job looks good though. Does it light up red just as good as the brake lights [night & day]?

The Testors Candyapple Translucent paint is actually in the toy department at Walmart because it is mainly used for model trucks and planes. Its about $3 a can, you will probably need 2 of them.

Werd. That's where I got mine. Mine still look pretty much the same as when I did them about a year ago. Never even clearcoated them...

I must be. My lights are all painted on the outside. I have like 10 coats of testors, 3 coats of clear, 3 coats of niteshades and 5 coats of clear. A buddy niteshaded his clear corners and then cleared them, the color faded in days.

We didn't eat pizza, tard, and if you can honestly say that you like orange rear blinkers over the red, more power to you.
