Hmmm. Air tools. I need that. I tried to change my bushings many times and have failed everytime. I broke my breaker bar trying to take off the axle nut.

Kevlo - getting the big stuff loose was no problems with air tools - but the swaybar endlinks were so badly rusted that we ended up having to replace one side. The other parts that can be really tedious is getting the cotter pins out and getting the pin link seperated from the old LCA... they are supposed to slide out, but mine was seized so badly, we spent 1/2 hour getting it apart....They cotter pins were so badly rusted - almost welded themselves to the holes....

Thanks a lot for the write-up. I really hope I do not experience the same problems as njmodi, but I have a strong feeling I will. I do not have any airtools...just access to an electric impact gun.

Actually Nick and I did mine together... I kept losing tools while he did all the work - so we dealt with all those issues together... but we conquered it... got the alignment this afternoon and car rides great.

Nice job.. I just replaced my sway bar frame bushings a few weeks ago, They gave me bushings that were too small, but I made them work. But the squeak is still there. I think it's the LCA bushings.

I just leftt my mechanic's and I was told that he thinks that I need to replace my bushings. I'm getting a pull to the left when I get on the gas. No gas no problems. Does this sound like bad bushings? Thanks for the writeup. I was going to tackle the job myself but it diesn't seem worth the $100 labor for instalation.

Thanks
Todd

$100 isnt too bad, I got quoted $65 to install a new control arm at a local shop, not a bad price especially if you dont have the tools or time, but nothing beats free.
