Go ahead, make fun of me

Its probably on the site some where but I wanna see a dyno of the mevi vs the 00vi on an identical car. Some what like that mid pipe dyno. I wanna see this supposed huge drop in low end power that the mevi has compared to the 00vi.

does using an JWT ECU or 00vi affect your gas milage or your just letting out the beast that is caged in the VQ30.... just wondering, never really thought about it til now......

Looks like I need OOVI and the JWT ECU. Incredible how much that opens it up on the top end.

I look forward to another way to raise the rev limter besides JWT, there turn around time is lousy and I heard it could still be tuned better.

Why did nissan not install a VI on the 4th gens? the 3rd and 5th gens have them. What was their logic/reasoning? I'm guessing maybe daily driveability purposes (load up on low and mid range power)?

So according to that dyno the mevi has no real noticeable loss at lower rpm, like 2-3 horsepower, unless my eyes are failing me, which they might be. That chart is really hard to see.

This is on a supercharged Maxima, running about 12 psi boost, but BSwithTF got similar results NA . Blue is MEVI, red is 00VI, no other changes:

As you can see, the difference is not insignificant.

What I wanted to know was mevi vs stock because mevi seems easier to install

That's not what you put in the original thread...
You will lose a little low-mid range power with a MEVI when comparing to stock, but instead of the torque and power curve dropping off after 5k, it will continue to rise. The end result: a more linear torque curve (take a little low, put it up high) and power straight to redline.

that makes me a believer of the 00vi, even if it is a little more complicated.

I don't think it shows the USIM. There's not enough difference at high rpm. The USIM power curve nosedives after about 5500 rpm.
