mevi is an easy, do it yourself beginner forced induction bolt on for your maxima. You can expect gains of up to 50hp. Installation time: 15 min.

You can find one at scooby doo junkyard. Talk to MDeezy.

lol.....u guys are soo mean....mevi is something that isn't worth it if you're a daily driver in the city..or do a lot of local driving.....between 3.5 k to 4.5 k there is a power loss..but quickly regained from the top end... most of the time with a mevi, you should do a drop resistor mod also..you can find that by doing a search....so now you know..without searching b4 you ask a question on this org. you will be flamed and noone will answer u..i'm just at work right now n have nothing to do..otherwise i'd flame u too..heeh

Let's see:

1) Cost. About $2500 SHORT on that one.
2) Turbo: totally WRONG turbo
3) Psi: not accurate

Then on top of that, you ask for EVERYTHING else.

Obviously you've done a decent amount of reading. But you're 16, didn't you just touch your first car this yr? Maybe you're a prodigy

you're obviously not old enough to comprehend that building a turbo kit is no walk in the park, and your ideas show it.

Wow brudda, you've by far made THE worst impression on the .org for as long as I've been on. Well, maybe Tommy Ali had you beat, but you're pretty close.

Buahaha. Oh that's why you wanted to use a turbo sized for 2 liters on your 3 liter engine?

Yeah, I've been here sometime. At least I don't lie about being a mechanic since the age of 5.

i admit that was uncalled for. dsm turbo was a half-baked idea. but, what is the problem with testing the waters? and another thing, to know something from a book is different from teh actual experience. thats why everyone brings their questions here.

I'd put $$ that Jeff has been dismantling cars/learning/treaching. about them before this kid was even born ...
I built my first Datsun 510 from a shell at 15. So pretty close.

That is fine. But to come here and talk the talk when you don't is another. If you came here and presented yourself as young person willing to learn vs lying out of your **** and trying to bs people that know better, no one would have a problem.

Wasting his life? Wow strong words. If you dont like the site there is na X button at the top most right of the browser, it will set you free. What an ignorant statement to say how someone else spends their time is a waste, what you may consider a waste by your standards may not be by others. Your only adding to the general census that teenagers think they know it all.

Its a classic sign on immaturity to bring up an issue that has nothing to do with the subject at hand. Shouldnt you be back in school or something? Hand around your age group since you have such a problem with the "old" people on here.

i said that because he was saying that he built a car when fifteen. i was simply stating that it could be done much easier back then and cheaper.

Datsun 510s were much simpler and cheaper. But NOT free. But the stuff I did on that 510 still surpasses what you will probably ever do on any car in your lifespan.

YOU said, and I quote.. "get a turbo"

you make it seem, like its going to autozone, telling the guy, I need a complete turbo kit for a 1995 nissan maxima, SE.. Yes the V6 3.0L... and they go in the back, give it to you, and you spend the day bolting it on

So, you went offtopic on your part, this thread was about the 00VI vs the MEVI, NOT a turbo.

EDIT: It was about the MEVI, I was reading the other thread on the MEVI VS 00VI in another browser.. :-x

this wasnt about oovi vs mevi. its a guy asking what it is and where he can get one. he knows nothing about it. and it isnt like you just put the mevi on either.
