so i'm planning on removing that 3rd brake light and replacing that with an led bar. I would like to do it properly instead of cracking the deck or breaking connectors; soo to those that have already taken it out bc of tints or spoilers or whatever the reason, chime in and let me know. It could help to have less broken plastic clips on my car.

 

the manual that came with your car tells you how to remove that piece.

I don't know about running the wire to the spoiler, though.

 

on one side on the spoiler the holes are bigger for the wires. and isnt the bar already led? no probably not to old

 

You all need to read the original post. He simply wants to remove the center rear brake light and replace it with an LED bar. No spoiler involved. :

The light just pops out - you have to pull it up and back and it should pop out fairly easily.

 

I just replaced the bulb in my 3rd brakelight. You actually push the assembly towards the back window, then it will pop up and you can pull it back and rotate it to expose the harness underneath. Unclip and voila..
