This is out of a 97...will it work in my 96 max with climate control

IIRC the connectors are not the same

Will not work . However if you could splice in the right connectors...

I don't think that is out of a 97. I have a 97 and mine has several buttons in different places then that one.

Its not. Thats the 98-99 style climate control.

That will only work in 98-99 models. ( I have one in wood grain for sale if anyone wants it)

The square button modules are not interchangable with the round button. There's no way to splice wires. I've tried. The fan speed doesnt work correctly- you either get no fan or high fan.

I just sold a round button black face unit on Ebay. I have one laying around thats woodgrain from when I used to restore salvaged maximas. If you want it, I'll set up an ebay sale for you.

So us 95-97 climate control guys are pretty much screwed as even splicing the connectory wont work??

Wow if thats the kind of Auto climate control they have for the 98-99...I'm happy to get a 97. The temperature adjustments are placed sooo much better in the 97. Much more logical I think.

that is a 98 since there is no AMB button.
