I did it but the sound was so low that it wasn't worth it.

Did you run the wires out through a gromet under the spare tire and outside the car? Because it makes a huge difference!

You can clearly hear it within the range of the remote

No. I wired it right near the relay. It's so closed in. I couldn't think of anywhere else to put it. Where's yours? I didn't even know there were grommets under the spare. Well, I know what I'll be doing later today.

I just finish redoing mine...i put my wires through the tail light and stationed the buzzer hidden inside the rear bumper. i also used the 102 db buzzer. loud as he!!. the bad thing is that it sounds like a siren. but ten times as loud as the buzzer they used. i think the old one was between 60 or 70 db. i recommend either the 95 or 102 db. i could here it from inside my house(it when throught the garage door and into the laundry room.)

I threw my buzzer right inside the rear bumper beam. Doesn't get wet or anything. I've had it like that for 2 years now and still sounds like it did on day 1. Plenty of .ORG members have heard it in person. Next I'm going to get the actual buzzer from a Saab or Lexus when I stumble across one and throw that one in there.

Lexus, toyota, BWM, any would sound great. I suggest going to a dealer and just asking the parts department. Maybe call a few different manufacturers and check pricing. I think I'll do this and I post what I find. If anybody else does the same let us know.
