On my 99 SE, when i wiggle the steering wheel to the left and right, a knocking sound is heard. Sounds as if something is lose with my steering system.

I talked with a mechanic and i vaguely explained the situation to him and he said it could be a bad rack and pinion.

If anybody is familiar with this problem please let me know.
