2000 Maxima Starter on my 95 Maxima?

I just posted this in "all motor" section but nobody has replied, so i am asking my fellow 4th gen people. I found a starter from a 2000 maxima from an automatic at the local junk yard. My question is will it fit on to my 95 SE manual?

i have a feeling it won't fit...why not call autozone or kragen and see if the part number is same for both starters.

95-2001 has the same starter. the 5th gen ones have more teeth. they are the same gear reduction type, and uses the same bolts. they are interchangable. and carry the same part number.

Are you sure about this? When I had to get a junkyard starter, there was something different about the starters made before 11/95, and the ones made after 11/95. Before that date, 4.G's used the same starter reguardless of tranny. After that date, 4.G's had different starters for auto and manual.
