can i use a radio shack resistor in place of drop resistor

can i use a radio shack resistor in place of drop resistor
My drop resistor is bad and was wondering if i could use a radio shack resistor in it's place. If so how many ohm resistor will i need.

How much are you looking for? I really don't want to spend much since this will be for my toy/drag car and could always swap the one out from my 97 when i want to drive the other and vice versa.
