first off, im serious, it did happen, quite easy to do!! and the double clutch was not referring to wut i did, im not that stupid!! it was my bad, i kinda put two thoughts together, my badd. i was saying about the double clutch thing, was i thought that was the term used to describe wen a manual tranny automobile holds in the clutch and revs it and pops the clutch after they shift to the next gear, i later learned that the correct term was power shifting, as seen in my next post!! im sorry u thought that i believed i double clutched my auto tranny in 3rd gear@6k rpms. and another question, wen it says "D", where am i actually?? i sure as hell dont drop the biatch from "N" all the way past "D" to "1"!! ur the lost cause, my badd

well, anyways the other nite i spun in my autos 3rd, i was only goin like 40 cruisin, i pushed it into neutral and revved (dont ask y, just messin around?) and pushed it bak into "D" wen it hit 6000rpms by accident, bam, chirp chirp chirp!! dont do this, kinda bad, i didnt mean to i know its not good. but yeh, i believe its called double clutching?? power shifting?? one of the two i think!! wen ur shifting to the next gear, hold the clutch and rev before u pop the clutch mite be able to do it... but once again i dont quite remember if its one of those two names above
That's not chirping...that's idiocy.

in my point of view, chirping on third is an indication of either of the 2 things:

1) bad tires, no grip, slipping, no benefit.

2) some serious mods, lots of power, chirped hard on every 3rd shifting. that's beneficial psychologically.

Double clutching is when you engage the clutch between gears, while in neutral, and bring the input shaft rpm's up to the engin rpms. This makes it easier to get a tractor trailer into gear. For us, it is only useful to save a little tranny wear when powering out of corners. You cannot do this in an automagic unless you have replaced the torque converter with a clutch assemby.
Power shifting is the art of never lifting the throttle while shifting up through the gears. This is common among drag racers and also is the way my son shifts his KX65 (I've wheelied it into 3rd with 20 hp) for max acceleration. It's a ligttle hard on the clutch and tranny.
I have shifted without the clutch in my max, but I find it difficult to get the revs right. It isn't a lack of driving ability as I am sure many will say. I am fluent in clutchless shifting in my wife's honda, and spend a lot of time practicing the art in ten speed Freightliners. My Max is just a bit more sensitive to throttle input, and rpm change is dramatic. This is not torture if you do it right, In fact, it can save a lot of wear.
