Illuminas vs AGX's (fronts) v. 1,000,000

I've done a search to get a specific answer on how the illuminas are better than the AGX's. I've been riding on Progress and agx's (rear), but had tokico blues up front. They both finally blew out, so im looking for a replacement set for the front.

I understand that the illuminas are the best and feel the most comfortable, but I am still not convinced on spending the extra 100 dollars for the illuminas vs the AGX's. I'm dropped on progress, so the front drop is about 1.5ish.

I'm planning to keep the car for another year or two, and i can settle for the 2nd best. But im worried about another blow-out.

Please post opinions if you have illuminas or agx's only. Keep your suspension questions for another thread, and I dont need any other recommendations for other struts or shocks...just how others feel w/the illuminas vs agx's.

Also, I am in Pennsylvania, so the roads are 3/10. Do i have to worry about a blowout within the next couple of years with the AGX's? Is the extra 100 dollars justifed for the illuminas?

Thank you for your responses. (d00df00d and Tom from NJ chime in)

AGXs arent that bad of struts just in comparison to the Illuminas. You should be find on the AGX with a decent setting and like the ride. The winter months are comming up though . . .

ok listen to this, my boy had eibachs and and agxs on his max, car road pretty hard, but i wasnt sure of his settings. anyways he sold his car and i bought his eibach springs, now i have them with my illuminas, he road in them and was amazed. He couldnt believe how soft and smoothe the car rides, especially over bumps he didnt beleve they were the same springs he gave me.

plus i live in NYC and i put a beating on those struts man its been about 10k mies so far and its holding up real good. even the bent up strut from my accident isnt leaking, but obviously i had to replace it

what settings are your illuminas on? What setting are your AGX on?
what size tires were you both running?
same driving style when it comes to bumpy roads?

my agx are 2 in the front and 3 in the rear,

i dont know the settings my friend had on his AGX, but when you hit a bump on it, it would feel hard, like schock the whole car up.

philly isn't bad; im gonna try to set up a philly meet towards the end of september, so we can see your beast under the hood. Oh btw, get the best alarm system you can, gorilla lug locks for your rims, and the biggest fukcing club for your car.
