You know, I think I'll keep my extra 150 lbs. of 'luxury' items, and be .1 second slower than my non-luxury GXE brother.

Wow... I didn't know you could get them for that inexpensive! All the more $$$ to have fun with... That was a kick butt deal for a NEW one!

Besides, when people ask 'bout the max, I tell them to go for the GXE for around $19k instead of an accord/camry... it has power locks/power windows/power mirrors/cruise control/tilt steering/remote trunk release/remote gas release/rear window defroster/air conditioning, and a kick butt V6 to boot!

When I got my new '96 GXE, I was actually looking for a GXE 5sp like what you got... but my ex-gf couldn't drive a 5sp, so we ended up with a GXE auto with C&C... Only have an SE 5sp now because I got a good deal on it used!

Something thats weird to me is that I had a 96 gxe before my 99 and it came with the factory woodgrain up to the climate control panel and it had a pop out drawer too. I could never figure out why it came with it cause all other GXE's I have seen all have just plain trim and pull down drawers, but everything else in my car was like a regulae GXE, cloth interior, just one power seat, not auto climate control, steel rims and hub caps, and chrome finsh on my door handles and grill. Also both my cars have been GXE's and have come with the chrome exhaust tip. Maybe I have been lucky but both my GXE'S havent been to plain or like a lot of other GXE'S I've seen.
