sponsorships aren't easy. Takes a lot of time and efforts; traveling to shows and keeping the car up to immaculate condition. Sponsorships offer a great discount and sometimes free parts. Beware, there are scammers out there posing as sponsors.

they start off with free stickers...then go from there...I personally think its a cheap way to get sponsored...it takes the fun out of fixing up your car...sponsors want something unique and different...and those people hand out sponsorships like it's nothing....but I could be wrong...I never went all the way with it...I have an audio sponosorship...that I worked really hard one...and I love it...but go for it man if you want...and if it works out let me know...I'll go the cheap route ....good luck though if you go for it

yea..i heard of them..i noe someone's maxima is sponsored from them. i told him to apply for it and he got it. I had a full sponsor from one of the companies.but i was stupid and denied it because i wanted to get sponsored from sportcompact pro with my friend. I later got word from them, lost my 350z oppertunity...but i did get the lakeshore blue max...but it was only a partial sponsorship...50% off parts? BS got the contract and it was up to 35-55% off MSRP....i was pissed...870 for tein coilovers? we get it for like 806 shipped? from importcarparts....and i lost my 88bux from the application/processing fee...but yea..you just have to watch out. carsponsorships.com is legit so go for it. =]

yeah, it is a scam, everyone who applies is "sponsored" by decalkits.com and "quasi-sponsored" by house of boom (overpriced no-name audio)... don't waste your time or money.

dont really like sponsors they just a bunch of a$$es, i know this from a fren.. i think i rather spend my own money to buy stuff i want to put on the max and not a multi million dollar sponsor telling me what needs to be in it or not!

I was suckered into doing it. I dont really fel like typing the entire story, but basically, they sent me this really nice letter, saying that they really wanted to get tons of sponsers and free stuff for my car and that they had already found a couple of sponsers, and at least on of them was a full-sponsorship.

Turns out the full sponsorship was that i get free stickers, as long as i put the stickers on my car, and then all the other "sponsorships" were just ways for me to buy stuff like underglow kits, audio stuff, and a few other things at "way below MSRP" prices. --However, I did a search, and after finding a few typos (for example: Item was listed as a 6-stick underglow kit, but after checking the item/model number with the manufactor, it turned out to be the 4-stick package, and after comparring prices, I could get a similar under-glow kit by a different company for just about the same price.)

Company responded to this saying that you start off small, and as you stay with the company and really show that you're serious about doing it, then you get bigger sponsors, like free tires. I think that they just charge people like me $50 or whatever it was, and then I see that I wasa dumb a$$ for doing it, and they make $50 from tons of people who thought the same way I did...

I still have all the links to the .PDF files they sent me if ya'll want to take a look at them... Basically, I'm pretty sure you could sign up ANY car on there, and you would get accepted. It would be funny to have someone try that... maybe try getting some old Telephone line repair truck sponsered or something...lol

Here is the email I got from them after I signewd up my mostly stock 96 Maxima (with only a cold-air intake off of eBay)...

E-MAIL NUMBER 1:

Congratulations YOUR NAME HERE! We are pleased to inform you that two national automotive companies have picked you up for sponsorship for the upcoming
2005-2006 car show season. The amount and the details of the sponsorships are being negotiated and finalized with the company at this time by our staff on your behalf. In the meantime, please gather any photos of your vehicle as sponsors may require those at some point during the sponsorship period for possible before/after press releases.

Within 3 days we will have your sponsorship package drawn up and sent to you via email. Please check your emails frequently. If you do not receive your contract within 3 days of this email please contact us at sponsored@carsponsorships.com. If you are unable to print out your contract and sponsors catalog please email us and we will send you a hard copy via mail. This package will have all the information on the sponsorship including your sponsor's catalog, sponsor's vouchers, sponsor information, and other pertinent information you will need. Please keep in mind that our team has negotiated and secured this sponsorship based on the information you provided on your application.

Also, because your application meets one or more of our guidelines, our Advanced Placement Department (APD) is interested in your qualifications.
They are currently reviewing your application and will be working to get you an additional sponsorship. APD uses strict standards to place qualified applicants and many times they are able to get additional sponsorships.

Although we are always here to help you build a relationship with your sponsors, ultimately, it is your responsibility to contact them and keep them informed on your progress and events that you attend.

In addition to the sponsorship above, APD would like to give you an opportunity to get another sponsorship. Let's see how you do:

Hi YOUR NAME HERE, my name is Amy Chase from the Advanced Placement Department of CarSponsorships.com. If you are going to be entering your car into any of the Hot Import Nights Car Shows please contact me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. We have immediate but limited full sponsorship openings ($7,000+) for your vehicle. Unfortunately, APD can't award this sponsorship to you based solely on your online application because our sponsors rely on us to find and screen all applicants completely to insure that they can fulfill their obligations. We know you have good intentions, and that's why we are giving you this opportunity, but we need to hear from you and feel confident that you will follow through with this sponsorship commitment. This sponsorship package for the 2005 H.I.N. show venue will include tires from Dunlop, full suspension from B&G Suspension, rims from Raveann.com Wheels, lighting from StreetFX, bulbs from VisionBulbs, free subscriptions from Performance Auto & Sound Magazine and many other products from our partners. If you are interested and can attend at least 1 H.I.N. show please submit your inquiry to our Advanced Placement Department by going to:
http://www.carsponsorships.com/form/sponsorships.php I will be your contact person for the HIN show venue only and will review your qualification form.
Please don't delay; the first H.I.N. Shows have already started.

Remember, CarSponsorships.com doesn't stop working for you just because we have obtained these initial sponsorships. Depending on how well you build a relationship with us and your sponsors will determine what sponsorships we will be able to issue you. Not only will we get you sponsored by larger companies, every 30 days you will receive an email from us with new sponsorships that you can easily and immediately get approved for. Under no circumstances are you ever charged for these additional sponsorships. Over the course of the year, you may receive many more sponsorships for your car.
We work with many major automotive companies like Dunlop, B&G Suspension, Megan Racing, Blaupunkt Audio, Performance Auto & Sound Magazine, StreetFX Lighting Systems, Raveann Wheels, HouseofBoom, Vision Bulbs, Decalkits.com, WheelsNext and many others to bring you great sponsorships from companies that you know and trust.

We can't emphasize enough the importance of you keeping in close contact with us. We realize that you have already made an effort to fill out our application, but we also want to get to know you and your car better. We have many sponsorships available but we will only award them to those that show us the effort. We need to feel confident that you are reliable, professional and will represent our sponsors to the fullest.

Again, we look forward to working with and you will receive your sponsor package within 3 days. Have a great night and don't forget to contact Amy if you are interested in the H.I.N. Sponsorship.

Sincerely,

So there ya have it...
As you can see by clicking on that link ( http://www.carsponsorships.com/sponsorship/contract.pdf ) --the scholarships that they find for you are pretty gay...

So that is my opinion... If anyone else wants to go ahead and try it, and actually stick to it, and actually gets a worth-while sponsor ship, maybe you're one of the lucky ones. I'm sure they get a few people that actually get worthwhile sponsorships, that way they can at least say, "Oh, well Joe over here got this, and Bob over here got this!" ---but I bet "Joe" and "Bob" are the sons of the owner of the company...haha

Well, to be fair, they did respond to me one email, asking how legitimate this way, by saying that I need to stay with them and show that I'm interested before the big sponsors will come for me... --but yes, your right...they never gave me a phone number...just email addresses...

However, this is how I got my money back... Payed with credit card... Called credit card company, and kinda told them that I didnt get what I payed for, and credit card company reversed the charge.

here was the email that they sent me

Hi, this is Ragen from CarSponsorships. I briefly spoke to you at the Hot Imports Nights in Atlantic City. I submitted your application to a few of our companies on Monday and I just received word from a national car company who is interested in offering you a full sponsorship. However, this particular company has a few other questions to ask about you, your car and about your future car plans/ideas before they can make a final decision. For your convenience, I have set up a web page for you to answer these questions. Please go to https://www.carsponsorships.com/cgi-...ow/sponsor.cgi and answer the questions to the best of your ability.

Remember, we are here to help you get sponsored, so I will review your answers prior to submitting them to the sponsor and contact you if I feel there are some changes we should make. I told them that I will have the answers to them by early tomorrow afternoon so please submit them as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Ragen St. Peter

All I have to say is, if you have to pay for it, its BS. Never pay any application fees or anything like that. Reminds me so much of the "work at home" scams where you have to buy like $50 starter kits or whatever.

I mean seriously, if they had all these sponserships lined up and could give them out to everyone, why would they need to charge the $50, I'm sure they'd be raking in the dough. More likely, they own all the websites of the "sponderships" they give away or something.

I know like five people that applied for sponsorships...and in no time they got the e-mail saying they had been accepted for a full Decalkits.com sponsorship..the problem?? The guys that got them have some crap cars....personally...I do not wanna be part of a company that sponsors rice and crap. ...but then again..if you wanna pay 80 to 90 bucks and say you are sponsored...is your decision.

Wow that letter is a joke, basically insert your name here. First off, the guy wont even tell you what company it is thats interested. Second, if a so called "national car company" wanted to offer you a full sponsorship, why would they even bother going thru carsponsorships.com. Full sponsorships are a big deal, and you would think if that company really wanted to know about your plans for your car, they might try asking you directly instead of having you fill out some general form that any person could fill on a website.

You guys do whatever with your money but this couldnt be more of definition of a scam. Pay money to them FIRST to get "sponsored", then get discounts at the stores that they run. The stores that they run have marked up prices so that they can claim they are giving it to you at cost.
