Headlights/Foglights not working

My headlights and my foglights both just stopped working today. When I turned it on tonight on my way home only the corner lamps and side markers lights came on. I'm not good with the wiring or with these electrial stuff so I'm not sure where and what to check, if its a fuse, relay, or something else. I have a wiring harness for my headlights that my friend made and I just replaced the relays on it because it somehow got rusted, but I do not know if that may have contributed to my headlights and foglights not working. Any help? Thanks

first thing to check is a fuse. check the fuses in the lower left panel in your driver seat. Also, check the fuse box under the hood to the lower right as well.

Thanks, I checked the fuses, it was one of the fuse in the fuse box that went bad, but there is still something wrong and it seems to get complicated. It was just one bad fuse for the RH Headlight, I do not understand how that will stop the other headlamp and foglights from working. The previous owner also put the wrong fuse in it, it says for 15A on the cover, the fuse on it was 20, I replaced it with an extra 20 that I had, I will get the right ones for it tomorrow, but there is still another problem. The high beams do not work nor the dashlight for the high beam, and when I replaced the bad fuse and checked on the highbeam, the fuse blew again and the headlamps and foglights stopped working again, so I assume something else is causing the fuse to blow. I am using higher wattage bulbs but have a harness for it already and it has been running fine for the whole last year so I do not know if this contributes to it. Any help again? Thanks

you may have a short someplace. DO NOT USE ANY FUSE ABOVE WHAT IS RECOMMENDED. Pull that 20 out and put a 15A into there. Go over all other fuses and double check them once again. I cannot think of anything other than a short someplace.

for example: one of my maplights were screwed up, and everytime i hit that button the fuses taht light up my interior goes bad. You may want to check around for a short.
