My outlet pipe from B-muffler is crushed really bad !!!

Today, while i had the car on the lift I've noticed that the outlet pipe leading out of the B-muffler is crushed really bad , the overall diameter of the pipe is greatly reduced ( BTW i'm on stock OEM B-pipe)

I wonder is this normal , or it was done purposely by prevoius owner ( Fleet registered vehicle to reduce power output......????). I wish i had a camera on me to take pics.

The bend/crush looks realy proportional and it looks like it was done by some kind of clamping device.

Maybe I am wrong and this is normal , but why would Nissan design exhaust with such restriction out of the B-muffler.

Did anybody else notice this restriction in your stock B-pipe ???

please share your inputs

I will try to snap some pics.......

Are you talking about the crimp right after the resonator?

That is done on purpose to clear the bracket.

By resonator do you mean the round cylinder looking can, right after the cat converter?

I thought that was the B-pipe muffler, yes there is a crimp right after that mufler on the outlet pipe

and it looks like its creating a major restriction in gas flow

thanks , this is it , the picture explains it all, stock resonator has a crimp on the outlet pipe, and it looks very restricting.

I'm in the market for new B-pipe anyway ( rust is holding mine up)

What is the best B-pipe out there now > please share your inputs.

thanks

Nick, you'd be best served getting a mandrel bent pipe from a local shop. It's a lot cheaper than any aftermarket pipe and the gains, as minimal as they are, will the similar.

I'm not really looking for power increase, just want to replace my rusty/falling apart b-pipe with newer one.

I will try my local muffler shop.

Thanks Guys !

i heard about the warpspeed b-pipes having crappy resonators and their pipes hanging low.

you should try looking into the Budget B-Pipe

All of ours were like that. The fix? An aftermarket B pipe or catback.
