So believe it or not my stock clutch out lived the transmission..Pics
Well for about a month now i have been getting a weird noise when the clutch is not pressed in. From all who i have spoken to it appears to be my input shaft bearing well this isn't so bad since i have had a 30k VLSD tranny sitting in my deck box for a couple months now. Well the time had come to replace the 1999 tranny even thought it shifts and drives like the day i bought it i can not deal with the noise anymore.I will be venturing to Maximum Tuning in NY on tuesday to have my clutch done at the same time. What saddens me the most of this whole ordeal is the stock clutch is still great and i wouldn't have had to replace it for some time.
If anyone is interested i went with a 5th gen clutch setup and i was lucky enough that my local dealership shill had one of the 30100-2Y904 clutch disk in stock since the one that replaces it is a out sourced part.
If anyone need the part #'s i have it in word document and i can e-mail it to you just pm me.Another important point if you were ever wondering if you car has a VLSD check the differential seal. If it is large like the one on the tansmission pictured, you have a VLSD.
