Weak A$$ back up lights

I dont know if anyone else has this problem....but when I go to back out of my driveway im kinda nervous becuase the back up lights on my max dont really light up $hit. Not only when I look through the tinted glass, but just looking at my outside mirrors or over my shoulder too. Has anyone done a bulb conversion to some brighter lights, or is there anything I could do save putting aftermarket fogs on the BACK of my car lol.

I thought the reverse lights are only to let other drivers know you are backing up. Not to actually light up the surrounding area for a better view...

They sell halogen back-up bulbs. I'd do the fog lights with a relay. Get something good that you can incorporate into the bumper

No back up light were intended for you to see behind you like rear headllights. But as you see they are useless.
I tried to find a brighter bulb in local car stores, but nothing uselfull.

Thats one of their purposes. But If youre backing up at night its kinda nice to see where youre going.

Where can i find halogen back up bulbs. I really dont want to mount any other lights in the bumper. If worse comes to worse ill take out the stock bulbs and harness, and rig up some brighter bulbs with new harnesses in the stock location.

different automakers have different views on what the purpose of the backup bulb is, but unfortunately nissan thinks that its just there to let other people know your backing up. for me i'm tottaly blind when it comes to backing up with a 35% tint on the back glass and a total black out tint on the lights themselves.

so im gonna look into getting this

Will that bulb fit into the stock location? If it does its worth the 8 bucks for two of them.

Designtech makes them. You can probably find them cheaper. Or rig some 55 watt H3s

Try backing up with weak reverse lights, 5% tints, and no street light...

Get the 50 watt 1156 halogen bulbs from autolumination.com - cheap at $4 each.

I had the 1157 versions in my parking/corner lights for years. VERY bright.

Well I had an old pair of fog lights off my old car, so i pulled them apart and epoxyed the sockets into place. Took me about an hour, but now Ive got 55w halogen back up bulbs.
