Could a failure aftermarket ypipe makes a lot of noise? My car has became loud out of no where. I looked underneath the car and found no visual damage ( hole ) but then it sounds like a leak somewhere. I wonder whether the y pipe or cat that makes noise. This budget y-pipe has been on the car for nearly 4 yrs now. Thanks for any input.

 

I got another new budget Y-pipe for you if you want it!! Anyway I would check the flex joint, odds are it could be coming from there.

 

Ive got a leak on the front of my flex joint. I dont mind though...makes the car sound badass.


For future reference....where could i get a new one, besides a stealership, for cheap. I feel like one of these days its just gonna split in half and ill want to replace it.

 

Ebay. Picked one up for $30 shipped, had it welded in for another $30 locally.

 

thats not bad at all. especially since i can weld myself......

ill prolly pick one up just in case.
