Door Panel Removal
#1
I need to remove my front passenger door panel, but I have been unsuccessful in performing the first step of removing the door handle piece. I have gotten one side to come loose (closest to the lock), but can't get the rest to pop out without using extreme force, and I don't want to break anything. Does anyone know how to remove that backing which surrounds the door lever and lock? I have the factory service manual, but it just says remove, and not how to remove.
Thanks,
Dan

I've removed my door panels a few times and it can be a pain. I used screwdrivers at first, but I didn't want to puncture anything so I tried something different. I used 3 small wrenches (8-10mm) and wedged them in different places until I could pop everything out. There are 3 tabs on the piece: 1 at the top center, 1 at bottom center, and 1 on the left center. Once you get one popped out the rest will follow. While I had my panels off I removed the plastic lining (I'm assuming it's a dust cover or something) because it was causing rattles from my music.
