A/C refill or...?
Hi guys,
Anyone ever refilled their A/C on their own? I just did a motor swap and I had to release my A/C. Now i am without it. I was told by a "professional" the A/C system has to be flushed from the left over moisture. Anyone have any idea on it? how many lbs do I put if anyone knows? I am the type of guy that would do things on my own (DIY)
thanx in advance.

You were given sound advice... I believe there is a nice thread linked in the stickies on how you can do it all on your own. If it were me, I'd spend the 100 bucks and have the pros do it....

Cons - the system doesn't get the correct amount of R134 and doesn't work at peak performance even though the pressures are correct.
Pros - you save 60 bucks.
In order for the sytem to be charged correctly you must evacuate it first, then while it's completely empty and under a vacuum the correct amount of R134 is pumped in. It should never be charged up from static (neutral) pressure. You'll never get the correct amount of R134 into the system before exceeding the operational pressures of R134.
Thats the only way to correctly charge your A/C system and get ice cold air.
