Maxima Transmission

It looks like I may need a new transmission. Where is a good place to get one? The car is a 1995 maxima gxe 5 speed. How much would something like that cost? Does anyone know any good websites?

isnt rebuilding going to cost more, and isnt it worth more to just get a used tranny ?

I paid $850 shipped for my 00 5spd with 35K on it; also came with a 100 day guarantee. I highly suggest checking out car-parts.com for a salvage yard trans rather than rebuilding.

Rebuilding usually does cost more. If you can find a low-mileage tranny for a decent price then do it.

Thats why i suggested rebuilding. it costs more, but you know all the essentials are new. Plus who knows, just because it only has 30k miles doesnt mean that it wasnt beaten on.

Any other places I can get one because they are hard to find.
