Rear speakers

Sorry for the rookie question but how do I remove the back speaker covers? I am installing the Polk 6.5's and I don't even know where to start.

Thanks in advance!

first of all you need 6.75" speakers, unless you want to mod those 6.5's. you don't take the speaker grills off, you have to pull the whole parcel shelf off. to pull the parcel shelf off, you have to remove the back seat cushion & seatback, the trim panels that sit on top of the parcel shelf and the brake light that is on the parcel shelf.

there is a sticky with pictures on how to do that. it sure made my life a whole lot easier. the only thing that wasn't clear was how to remove the brake light. there's no screws, you have to hit it on the side (moderately hard) while you pull it towards the front of the car.

6.5's will fit. I've fit both sizes back there with ease.

well if you havent found any info out yet, you have to remove the back seat, both upper and bottom section. toss those out in the yard. then pop out those rear pillars, and then that back section with the speaker grills ( all one piece ) pop out all the sections and then pull it out towards you. now you can get to the speakers
