96 Max audio question
96 Max audio question
since everyone here is telling me that my fact. speakers are going ( i only ahve the left one) i got question for u guys. would i have to rewire anything if i were to buy a cheap set (they would be quality of course!) right now i ahve a JVC Arsenal touch screen HU and 12 Disc MP3 Changer. i spent too much money on these and i can;t live w/ just one speaker. i'm hopping u guys say its just plug(solder or connect) and play. speaker brand doesn't really matter to me as long as they're quality. you guys know of any good ones????
Look at crutchfield.com for the speaker sizes that will fit into the stock openings. Once you know the right size, get them wherever you want. Installation is easy - since you have an aftermarket HU and already have wiring run and aren't planning on installing an amp.
rip that crappy old bose system out and install a nice aftermarket stereo ... get yourself FOUR, 3 way, 6-1/2 inch speakers and amp them with a 4x50 rms alpine ... get a nice headunit and youll be good to go

redo the system
alright i see whatcha saying but...i would have to rewire the speakers completely??? i already have a great HU. A had an amp,but sold it. you guys are tellin' me its better to basically wire the amp to four new speakers and the hu, right. i'm really trying to stay outta high budget and buyin an amp right now isn't realistic for me. anyone got a solution. i've done minor stereo work. on my old corolla i set up a pioneer HU to an eclipse amp and has JBL 10'' subs with an infinity mids and tweeters. would it be similar...ihad to run speaker wire from the amp to the speakers and a battery cable/ground cable/ and amp-HU cable. same setup basically, right. it may sound like a stupid question, but i want to know it all before i jump head first! know what i mean.
