Where to buy headlights with cheap shipping
I want to replace my headlights because mine aren't equally bright. I checked out eBay and they're cheap. However, the shipping cost is going to slaughter me. I live in Canada, so any ideas where I can buy it cheap and with cheap shipping?

I can't see more than $150 shipped brand new in the US and to Canada it shouldn't be much more than $160 shipped. Compared to dealer pricing $160 for a new pair should be a steal. Better buy them quick because gas prices WILL make shipping go up.

Are you speaking about the 9004 bulbs - or the entire headlight assbly?
If bulbs - 9004's should be easily found at any autoparts store, read the boards for various recommendations - Narva, Silverstars, Phillips Hi-Vis, others. Avoid the over-wattage types to save yourself the added expense of a harness "upgrade".
If ENTIRE headlite assbly - try Garrand's Nissan in Plattsburgh NY (they have a web site), discount pricing and free ship for orders over $50.00.

I'm talking about headlight assembly. Because I found some on eBay for like $59US per side and asked for a quote to ship to Canada. Which turns out to be like $86.50 to ship both items here. I think thats kind of expensive. But I could be wrong.

Agree that it is steep for shipping. A lot of eBay sellers make up for low bids by cahrging outlandish shipping. Maybe they think they run a gas station or something?
Anyway, I know shipping is high to Canada, but that is way too high, IMHO.
Ask the seller to inquire about using DHL/Airborne Express. I've found them to be the cheapest shippers for larger packages.
OTOH, did you check with Garrand's Nissan - maybe retail they are higher, but if they hold true to their "free shipping for items over $50.00" - and they honor this to Canada - they may turn out cheaper than the eBay seller. At least you know for a fact that they will be genuine Nissan.
Lastly, do you have junkyards around that maybe you can find a pair of used headlights salvaged from a rear-ended Maxima?

They'll hit you pretty bad with brokerage charges, duty fees, etc. It cost me over $50 just to ship my DC bumper lights here! I spent more on shipping than the actual product. The Canadian Government tries to rip us off in any way they can. I know Ottawa isn't close to the US border, but what I do now is ship my stuff to a store just across the MN border then I drive it back across into Canada. Its WAY cheaper. Not sure if thats an option to you or not.
