difference(s) in 95-6 and 97-99 rear bumper

I have a 95 that is in need of a rear bumper replacement. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any fitment issues between a 95 and a 99 rear bumper. If it is only cosmetic then that is fine but I am worried about fitment. Also the trunk on the 95 is a 95 trunk, I do not have any type of conversion. Do you guys know?

Get a 95 rear bumper....the differences are cosmetic, but also form related around where the trunk lid meets the bumper.

ok, assume I am getting the 99 rear bumper for free....is it worth it? Will the trunk lid not close or something?

the 97-99 rear bumper is slightly longer than the 95-96, if you look at a 95 and a 97 max with the same aftmkt muffler, you'll notice its tucked in more on the 97.

so you know anything about the fitment to the rear quarter panels, and how snug it would fit to the bumper/foam?

it will bolt up fine to the rear quarters...as far as the foam, when I did my swap, I can't remember if I swapped the foam or not...but I think they fit fine as well

ok since you have done this before, I have a question. The foam in the rear between the bumper and the bumper cover. Does it go all the way across the bumper? I look underneth mine yesterday and it looks like there is foam on the left and right side but none right behind the center. Is this right or am I missing something?

The foam is a single piece that runs across most of the bumper support. It may be curved a bit, but I don't recall that...single piece of foam in the back and the front.
