Wet spark plug....should I worry???

Hey guys, I have changed the spark plugs today and the thread on one of them has been wet. Is that anything I should be worried about? Thanks in advance

Thats just oil from your valve cover, if it's only a very small amount, leave it alone. If the spark plug cavity was full of oil, change the valve cover gaskets.

Thanks, that just was a really small amount on the thread, the bottom tip of the plug is absolutely dry and clean, so I guess you are right.

My number 6 spark plug hole(back/driver's side hole) was FULL OF OIL when I went to change my plugs. I can't even get my spark plug out for some reason. So right now im running 5 new plugs and the 6th new one and suddenly I have a rough idle. How do I go about replacing the valve cover gasket? is there a tutorial anywhere?

it is not hard to change the gasket, just take it off and change gasket and put it back on, few bolts thats all

I don't know if it related to that or to the oil light blinking on the start I was talking about in another thread, but I was standing at the traffic light earlier today and the RPMs dropped all of a sudden and a CEL poped out...hope nothing bad there will go to check it out now....
