Max involved in hit 'n run at parking lot

So I come back from the mall and I find this damage, which appears to he a hit and run done to my Max, which was never there until after I left the mall. Wish I knew and saw who did this.

Ouch...at least its not any worse. Right after I bought my car I had to make the 2 day drive home and while I was parked at our hotel after the first day I think somebody hit my bumper. There is a little chunk gone out of the corner and I'm sure it wasn't there when I picked it up at the dealer. I almost don't want to ever get a new paint job for my car since stuff like this happens! Hope you can fix it for pretty cheap.

I am always afraid of malls, movie theatres, restaurants etc. Whenever I go to ANY of these places, I ALWAYS park in the last parking spot at the end of the parking lot next to the island. I don't care how far I have to walk, everyone could use the exercise. At least I know my Max isn't going to be part of a bitter battle to get that spot next to me, or some broad driving her husbands Escalade for the first time and can't see where the front of it is because looking down the hood is like looking down a bowling alley.

But if you happened to see my recent thread...parking THAT out of the way (even though I didn't when my incident happened) can lead people to believe you're hiding something worthwhile, and might draw very unwanted attention to your car...

True, but I've been doing it for years and ( knock on wood ) no problems yet. It's a nice feeling when waxing my car and looking down the side and seeing no door dents, dings, scuffs etc.

If it happened in the mall parking lot I would get with mall security to see if they had cameras installed. I don't know if that would help get a plate number or something but it's worth a try.

I had my car hit at work and all the cops said was that you didn't get the plate number, too bad, and then they left.
