will a FC intake for 5.5gen fit 4th gen?

well my GF went ahead and tried to order herself a frankencar intake for her 95 but ended up ordering one for an 02???lol so now i dont want to deal with sending it back to them and waiting to receive the correct one for her app. Does the one for the 02 have the right sized vaccum nipples on it to make it work on a 95? i think the maf's are differnt so ill have to drill the adapter to fit the 95 maf which is no big deal. i also think that it will be no problem with the couplers on there because they should be basically the same. I also think that the tube will fit fine because on my old 99 i had the PR cai with just the straight shortram piece on and it fit fine though the filter rested on the side of the battery. basically i guess need to know if there will be the right vaccum nipples on there for the 95. btw i know it has a long tube for one of the vaccum lines on the 02 which i could just cut down with a hacksaw. is that all? maybe block off a nipple? any help on this would be great. -Ryan

It's missing a couple of vac/idle control tubes .. It wont work. In fact in the 02 there are no vacuum tubes in the midpipe, just the breather .. it is possible to run a straight pipe, no tubes whatsoever on an 02 if a breather filter could be found for the valve cover ..

i just thought of a way to rig it up.... the small vaccum line that is used on the 4th gen, i can T-off another vaccum line that goes to the manifold for that ones source and then cut that long tube off the intake and drill a hole and weld the part i cut off on the other side for that line and i should be set. -Ryan

too much trouble, and the mid-pipe does quirky things on a VQ powerband anyway .. .. Just attatch the filter and call it good. I would but Irons. I was selling mine a few months back but it's been bought ...
