How hard is it to take out a Engine harness ?

How hard is it to take out a Engine harness ?

Well Im just wondering how hard it is to take a whole engine harness. I have some one that wants to buy the harness from my totaled black max but i dont know how to take the damn thing out. If any one can help me and give me some tips. It would be appreciated

disconnect every sensor, pull it in from the dash...and disconnect it from the ecu and various dash parts. Haynes Manual would probably help.

i looked in the haynes manual i didnt see anything. Thanks though.

um... dude... why would u want to do something like that. i mean its easier since its the same car. But for the amount of work needed. Its just easier to splice and solder or w/e u want to the damage cables. i mean a harness can take a person up to a day to remove and other day to install. plus the risk of messing up a certain connection.

its not for me some one offered to buy my 95 harness so i was just wondering if it was hard to take out to see if it was worth it.

doesnt look hard at all looks like the rubber grommet pull right out.

trust me its kind of hard, some of the wires are in crazy corners, it is the heart of the car u know

Even if the rubber grommet "pulls right out", you still have to get either that HUGE plastic connector through the firewall, or all that wire and ALL those connectors...

If your taking it out of a parts car, I think it may be easier to cut a section of the firewall from inside the car, and fit the plastic connector out through the larger hole you cut

yea that plastic connector connector plugs into the ECU...then all those wires go to the corosponding sensors in the engine bay
