Taillight options

Well, I was looking around and there are a couple of options for the taillights, there are the regular Altezzas, the red clear or the tinted... Has anyone done something else?
Altezzas are boring and the read clear look kind of plain (no offense to those that have them, just my opinion). So anyone has any ideas.... Pics if possible

-theres also the "sexima" mod. = Painting around the circles of the altezzas to make them look like skyline tails.

-Theres also "redding" out your tails.

-Gen 2 altezzas that use LEDs

-Make your own custom LEDs for your tails

I was thinking of buying red clear, getting my old ones and do the red clear to those and put led in them.... but still, they will look plain unless I tint them.

I've came to the point where the red clears look sexy and clean, but I want something that stands out a little more than that. I have the GenIIs leds in and I love it, some days from certain angles I want to swap in some red clear but on the majority I love it.

Best thing to do would be decide on a base, and then mod then via tint, leds, or what ever.

go with the TYC tails from custom maxima... i had the black chrome euro's and couldnt stand how played out they were... i switched to the tyc's and couldnt be happier!! plus its a great conversation starter, most people havent seen tailights that stick out 2 inches but it all comes down to what you prefer man.....

those custom gen IIs are ****in dope, but thats a little much for me. i keeps it clean and simple.
had the red/ clears for a while

then i did the DTM

i def like the DTMs better. they flow with the rest of the car and they're so different. i've always thought it would be sick if someone painted them the color of they're car instead of just black, or even get a reflective chrome paint and bling em out

hey, i reded out my tails, and it looks really clean, everyone seems to like it more than the altezzas i had. If you want i can sell you my 97-99 gunmetal skyline led tails for like $100, they are mint, they were only on my car for a couple weeks. If any one wants them send me a priv message.

Those were altezzas cracked open painted and led'ed up, some custom fabrication done to them, and they look great. I just wish he painted the silved trim either a matching body color or just black.

How about these. Personally I would just go clear/red and tint, but these would be alright if you painted the covers body color.

edit: Oops, didn't see that someone already pointed these out.
