Blitz sus air filter?

Okay I've heard the idea from here that if you leave the midpipe and everything on except the air box where an aftermarket air filter would be placed you wouldn't lose any power and gain some. Now I've been looking into doing something like that and I've read all these great reviews from different websites like suprastore.com saying the blitz sus air filter was the best filter in the world to get. Have any of you guys heard of it? Do any of you guys have one on? Heres the link to it from supra store and tell me what you think. http://www.suprastore.com/blitsusairin.html

Yeah It is expensive but that is one of the reasons I kinda want to get one. I wanna see if there is a difference between this one and the Pop Charger,HKS,K&N and all that. If anyone knows anything else about this air filter let me know or if anyone has it let me know also! It says it never needs re-oiling which sounds good to me since I'm really not a do it yourself person so all I would have to do with this one is just clean it.

IMO, wanting to get it because it's expensive is plain dumb. Granted it probably is a great quality filter, but I think you are just wasting money. It's not like you're going to see substantial gains (if any) over another quality filter like K&N.

But if you really want it, get it and stand out from the rest of the crowd. =)

OMG
26044Regular price: $319.00Sale price: $259.00
It doesnt make sense to buy a filter than expensive to try and squeeze out an extra 1hp? When you could buy a y-pipe and K&N for that price with change. If you have the money and it suits your tastes by all means . . .

oh yeah i for got to tell you that this thing is good forever unless you break it..
it's made out of metel and all you do to clean it is blow the dust out with a air pump (tire pump) at the gas station! or you can run it through water and whipe it clean.. never rust's i have had mine about 2-3 years and it still looks brand new!

This is a link to a air filter comparison test.

The tests were done on a Supra Turbo. The power difference btwn the two filters on this turbocharged car are less than one horse power & would be even less for n/a (i.e. Maximas), but the biggest thing is that the Blitz was given a POOR filtration rating whereas the K&N was given a GOOD filtration rating. Need I say more?

And just to add what MDeezy said:
For roughly the same amount money, you could also get a y-pipe and add 15 additional hp...or would you rather still buy the Blitz, gain less than 1 additional hp & have less filtration?

Think about it. If it really never gets that dirty, it's not filtering for crap and letting everthing into the engine (except for small squirrels)

LOL never mind then. It was just weird that that thing is soooo expensive I thought it would do something that the others don't. A Y-pipe costs in the 200 dollar range? If thats the case then I'll end up getting that.
