I'm working on it. I need to get some reference pictures. I'm also trying to put it in the PC version of GTA so you can get in it and drive around.

I made one a little while back on 3dsmax. It was pretty crappy, the dimensions were off because I couldn't find any actual blueprints. and then my HD crashed and I lost everything. this is the only pic I have left

look decent. I can see your refs were a 97+ Max, it does have an Altima type of look to it.

I was looking for ages for some reference picutres, but I coulnt find any. I'm just going to take some side, front, back, and top pics myself and use those with Maya.

good luck... without actual 2d references or blue prints its nearly impossible to model the exact shape. unless you try modeling in a perspective view....ha.

Not true, I would take pics, I'd need a light color car so I can see the curves of the car better (my black car wont help)

With the pic mounted on planes for the front side top and back, It shouldnt be that hard, draw some burbs curves, or even use polys for the general shape, should work. I'd probably enhance the reference pics in photoshop with strong contour lines.

I'll make a thread with my progress I plan on starting next week, as my school is open downtown.

Damn! If anyone wants a 3d model of a car I'll only charge half. Just give me a week or so to complete the model. Seriously Max, Maya, softimage, what ever program you want it for.

I've been looking for the same thing, hope someone can do it, cuz I'd love to be rockin the 4th gen through SA.

If anyone wanted to really get into it, they could make bodykits for it too, but i dont know if anyone is that bored.

EDIT: I'd give $50 to anyone who makes one that looks like my car (so a bit modded) that works in GTA:SA, pics can be found here: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=425012

I'll either post back in here, or start a new thread with screen shots and renders so you can see its progress.

Since Akumachan's max is almost stock, make it stock w/ clears, and stock wheels... cuz later on, they will release a bunch of new wheel mods.

It will work on the PC because certain games (such as gt3, or vice city on pc) come with a level editor so you can add your own models and such into the game. ps2 games you cant edit a level and add in extra models, unless you have what ever custom program a company uses to make their came and then port to the console. Simply put unless you a game studio with the right hardware and software you wont get it onto any ps2 game.

no prob. I've been planning on making a few cars for my portfolio, what car better to make than the car I own. Then seeing this thread gave me an extra push to get this done.
