Nice Muffler?!?

Well Ive been looking for a nice muffler and this one just caught my eye and Im in love with it, But the problem is that they only sell it as a Cat back system, guess for what car, 180sx/240/ Silvias, Can anyone help me find this just as a muffler, like a weld on I dont care if it has a flange, Ill weld it on! If this cant be found something that looks a lot like it. Also I want to see what mufflers you guys think look good on 4th Gens, I like almost all Oval mufflers

Bought a 5spd and already ricing it out....

Why not looking into a Apex'i WS II? It's actually made for our cars, comes as muffler only, sounds great, and looks good to boot

Size of stock piping is 2.25in (shouldn't of had to ask that it's everywhere on the org). I suggest to go aftermarket with 2.5in

The best advice I can give for the muffler is always go stainless steel and get whatever you like, not what anyone else likes. But if it helps I run a Borla muffler (universal but I turned it into a bolt-on). If you want details PM me

Yeah, go for the Borla! bhmax16 convinced me to get mine and I love it! I got the tip too, but I'm not to crazy with how low/far out they installed it.

Ive been thinking about the borlas, I love the way they sound on BMWs, a bunch of beamer guys around my house have it. It has an exotic tone like a ferrari almost but a little more raspy.

I've got a greddy SP1 and it sounds nice. low rumble when accelerating and quite when cruising. looks nice on the rear too. i've had lots of compliments on the sound and looks.

I have the Apexi WS II universal muffler that I put onto my catback and love it. Nice and quiet at idle, not a lot of drone at all, and sounds sweet when your on it!

Ditto. The Apexi is sweet and does not wake the neighbors.

Flowmaster sounds like crap unless you get a dual setup with the 80 series, all others sound very ricy on the max. I have some clips of Borla and Cattman though. PM me with an email address to send them to

bhmax16's soundclips sound great. If you want to hear what the Borla sounds like with a stock bpipe/ypipe then I can probably take some sound clips.

Yes i do. Any sound clips would be good as long as you listed what setup is being used.

Okay, I had my cousin take a few quick videos of my Borla in action. Anybody who wants to hear, PM me and I'll email them to you. Again, I've got the Borla Pro XS muffler and stock bpipe/ypipe.

Edit: The videos are fairly large in size, just in case your email has limited space!
