Idea for 3rd brake light in rear window spoiler

i was thinking of doing this for a while and i wanted to know if anyone has tried it. i like the look of the newer cars, the ones whose 3rd brake light isnt on the rear deck but is actualy inverted on the ceiling of the interior. i didnt want to do this on the inside but rather on the underside of the rear window spoiler.

of all places ive seen this nice LED strip at pepboys. it isnt bulky but is thin, about the thickness of 3 quarters stacked on eachother and its on a flexible strip which can bend, it is 6 inches long ( id like one that fit the entire length of the wing tho). i figure if its water tight, it would be perfect for the window spoiler and i can make it into a brake light. seems light enough for me to stick it on with double sided tape.

i just wanted to know has anyone attempted anything like this, did it work out, how does it look (any pics) and more importantly how did you run the wire, only thing i can think of is tuck it under the window weather stripping and pull it out through the trunk. any ideas suggestions or comments?

The trickiest part is getting the wire up to the light... maybe you can get a wireless light

Nah.. its a neat idea... if you can't find a way to run the wire, you can get a similar effect but mount light inside the rear glass but low enough to seem as though it is right under the rear window spoiler when seen from behind...

the wires are thin, and i do think i have a good cance at running the wire under the stripping and once i get to the bottom ill pull it into the trunk area, and from there it should be cake. im gonna place my order for the spoiler on monday and then ill go ahead and try the brake light mod. hopefully ill be the 1st to accomplish this so i can have all the braging rights.

I just placed a "maxima racing oil" sticker on the light and forgot about it.
