So my girl comes to me today and says the maxima is stalling when it sits in drive idling for about 30 seconds. That is the only time it happens and there is no CEL. What is on the top of the list for me to be looking at here. It's a 95 with about 140k on it. Fairly recent plugs and fuel filter.

 

That happened to me, and the problem proceeded to get much worse as days went by. Mine was a bad knock sensor and air flow meter. It could be a number of other things. It took me a couple of trips to the mechanic to finally diagnose the problem.

 

Wouldnt you have a CEL with a bad MAF?
